#40C & #40H Anemometer Drainage Ports

The #40C and #40H Anemometers feature drainage ports in the base of
the sensor within the boom mounting tube. Exposure to water and moisture is a given in most anemometer field applications. As long as the sensor is allowed to properly drain, this should not affect the sensor's capabilities. However, if a
solid post boom is used, the drainage ports can become blocked, preventing
proper sensor drainage. NRG recommends mounting #40 Anemometers on hollow booms to allow for drainage.
