Forced Initialization of Telus CDMA iPack

Ideally, a CDMA iPack using a Telus account would be intialized automatically using NRG's SDR software, and during the intialization process, the iPack's phone modem would obtain the PRL (PreferredRoaming List).  Unfortunately, many customers have not been able to do the standard intialization process successfully due a Telus cellular network issue.  Following is a workaround using the hidden Phone Diagnose window in SDR:

To use the Phone Diagnose window, you will need to do thefollowing:
1. Open up SDR (Symphonie Data Retriever) on your PC.
2. Type nrgphone on your keyboard (you do not need to enter this in any field - just type it into blank space).
3. A dialog box will come up entitled Phone Diagnose - click on the CDMA tab.
4. You will click the buttons on this screen from left to right starting with Get DIR, then Unlock SPC, Go Offline, Set DIR.
5. When Set DIR is clicked, you will need to enter the 10 digit Verizon phone number is this field with no spaces. Click OK.
6. Click Reset Mode, then Reset.
*This method of phone initialization does not upload the PRL of the cellular provider.

If this did not work, you will still receive one of thefollowing error messages:
? 072 - No carrier modem response.
? 075 - Access denied to internet server.
? 001 - Cannot make call.

If you receive an error message, and everything is correctlysetup within the *.ipk file, contact NRG Tech Support for assistance.
