Scale factor and offset

Recommended Posts

Hello, <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The Load Defaults button can be used to load a default scale factor and offset for the type of sensor shown in the Sensor Type field , but?are applied scale factor and offset type  in instantaneous values (1 second) sampling or in average data over a 10-minute period?

Some values download in the SymphoniePLUS3 logger and the Symphonie Data Retriever (SDR) software are less than default offset values (for example, anemometer value: 0.02)

Thanks,

All recorded data (as in on the SD card) are raw, unscaled values.

This means that changes can be made to the scaling without affecting the recorded data.

The real-time view of data on the loggers screen is meant as a reference. You may find slight discrepancies in the displayed values on the order of 0.02 m/s.

I hope that helps,

Dave

Hello,

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Is applied transfer function to values of 1second to useful units of measure (m/s) or are all recorded data as Frequency values?

If transfer function is applied?.when the measured value is 0 (1second value)?is applied transfer function also?

Standard deviation of wind speed; which method do your logger use to calculate this?

Thanks,
