RNRG Systems provides the iPackACCESS Modbus Client Demonstration Application for troubleshooting iPackACCESS setup and connections. This application is helpful as it is prepopulated with the correct input register entries. The following is a set of instructions to get basic connectivity working between Ananas – Modbus/TCP client software and the iPackACCESS (with SymphoniePLUS3) Download ananas: http://www.tuomio.fi/ananas/ Run the exe Allow access when prompted by Windows Click the “Show” button under the Client heading on the main window to edit the connection settings Click the “Connect…” button to enter the IP address and Port number for the iPackACCESS You can view this in the logger display by pressing [HOME]. Click OK to connect. Click the Input registers radio button. Enter the input registers you want to read, and click Add (or hit the Enter key). In this example I’m reading registers 2001 – 2005 for some time data. Version 18.104.22.168 and higher of the SymphoniePRO Desktop Application is able to detect new software and notify the user when it is available. The following instructions show how to use the Desktop Application to upgrade the software. 1. A flag in an orange box will appear to the left of the File menu on the top menu bar if there is a new version of the SymphoniePRO Desktop Application available. Clicking the flag will open the 'SymphoniePRO Application Updates' window, which will list the latest firmware and software versions available. 2. Click the Download button to download the software installer. The program will ask to download the software file into the PC's 'Downloads' folder by default, but it can be saved anywhere on the PC. *Note: To update from Version 1.X.X.X.X of the SymphoniePRO Desktop Application to the latest version, you will need to go to the SymphoniePRO Desktop Application software page https://www.renewablenrgsystems.com/services-support/documentation-and-downloads/software-downloads/detail/symphoniepro-desktop-application and download it. 3. Click the link to the downloaded file to open the folder that it was downloaded to or navigate to it using Windows Explorer. The installer will be named something like "8968-SymPRO-Desktop-App-X.X.X.X.exe". 4. Double click on the installer to launch the Installation Wizard. Follow the prompts to install the latest version of the software. *Note: The new version of the Desktop Application will install over the previous version, without changing any settings or erasing any data.
