Julia Austin
The FAA has described specifications for photovoltaic (PV) systems used to power obstruction lighting systems in Engineering Brief No. 76. Specifically, it requires a minimum of 7 days operational autonomy with little to no recharge of batteries. Our systems were designed to comply with this standard. In cold weather, cloudy or snowy conditions, the batteries could drain more quickly. This is why we have included the battery monitoring service in our complete lighting system.
