Julia Austin Posted June 21, 2012 Report Share Posted June 21, 2012 We have been asked by several customers if we offer a manual hoist for assistance in lifting an 80 m XHD TallTower. NRG Systems does not offer such a hoist ourselves; however, we have conducted testing and can recommend a Tractel (Tirfor) manufactured hoist, model TU-28. In Europe, this same model is a TU-16. Both have a capacity rating of 4,000 lbs (1,360 Kg). In addition to this particular hoist, we also recommend using the Tractel-supplied cable, which is 7/16? (11mm) diameter) with a 4x26 construction. Approximately 750 feet (228.6m) of cable is recommended.
