Additional height to telecom tower and install all sensors at different require height for wind measurement

Usually telecom towers are in the range of 45-60 m with a frustum design capable of hosting extensions on top. Based on the on load bearing capacity required, we can just add additional height to telecom tower and install all sensors at different require height for wind measurement. is this option feasible ? please suggest me.

Thank you for your questions.

We do not manufacture Lattice Telecom towers so I can only speculate on the capability of your inquiry.   It is possible to increase the height of a lattice tower, but changes to the base load and anchor load forces will increase with this change. If the base and anchors were engineered specific to a 50 meter tower, and now you are looking to add 10-20 meters to the top of it with additional guy wire, the load forces will increase to the base and anchors so extra anchoring and support might be needed to hold the tower. Installing the sensors at the new heights should not be an issue with added weight.

If your question pertains to one of Renewable NRG Systems tubular tilt-up towers, it is not possible to add extra height/booms/sensors to a particular tower while standing.   The tower would have to be lowered first before any change is possible.  An increase from 50 to 60 meters is possible for our XHD towers, while an increase from 60 to 80 meters is possible from our Super 60 to the 80 meter bolted joint towers.
